Style.com's 10 best of the season
Style.com is one my favorite websites, I use it for almost of all of my research and certainly for inspiration. It's writers are brilliant and they capture some fashions best and worst moments both on the runway and on the street.
This week they have post reviews and collections of the top 10 best designers, designs, and moments of Springs upcoming trends and fashions.
Everything from Balmains' big military shoulders, to Celines' Petal shaped silhouettes,Chanels' unique yet classic shapes, to Balenciagas' cutting edge modernity, Versaces' cocktail dress, Proenzas' surf style, Lanvins' hot, hot young woman and Rodartes' risky mix of city vs. wild.
Enjoy!

Chanel RTW Spring 2010
Among the list of celebrity guest were Rhianna, Prince, Claudia Schiffer and Lilly Allen performed, all dressed in head to toe Chanel. What could be better. the show as always is complete work of art, Karl never does anything that subtle and understated and he thinks of details that no one ever would. This truly was a show, in addition to the show stopping clothes that included a floor length barely there, black, sheer, chiffon, and ruffle gown with cap sleeves and detailed Chanel chain tattoos around the models upper thighs. I have never seen an more elegant and refined tattoo. This show was complete with live entertainment provided by Lily Allen who rocked it out with her unique style and slight country twang to complement their surroundings not to mention Karl always throws a (gorgeous) male model in to the mix who went rolling around in the hay right on the catwalk! Literally.
You didn't know where to look first. As always I fall deeper in love with Chanel every season.
Cant wait for pre-summer.

Alber Elbaz makes us sweat. Lanvin RTW Spring 2010- Paris

This collection is sexy, flirty and above all wearable. Women always want to wear things that make them beautiful and sexy but avoid at all costs, uncomfortable. This collection looks as if the clothes are effortless to wear and could be balled up in a bag and thrown together with some accessories in an instant. I also really loved the "slept in" look, as if the girls went out all night partied it up and feel asleep in their ultra femme dresses, complete with droopy eye make up and fly away hair. It makes one wonder just where it was they spent the night.
I adore this collection.
